A present to cheer up the 39th birthday (hence the title and hence the number of measures) of Jean-Denis Lepage (painter, illustrator, musician and writer of books about fortifications). A much more carefree and lighter opus than the Blues (for JD) I gave him a few years earlier. A version for piano duet of the 39 Steps polka (on special request of the excellent Piano Duo Brkovich) is now available as well.
