Written in 1983 to cheer up Luc Dubois who was recovering from a fall out of a window. The cover of the original score was painted by Jeroen van der Beek, who once ran a crêperie (Crêperix) with Luc. The tango mécanique has always been, in all its simplicity, one of my personal favourites.
